The city of Semarang, Central Java's capital, turned out to save a tempting culinary tourism potential as well. Many places to eat that have not been exposed yet, it turns out tasted better than the already known first. Semarang city is my hometown. I have left this city for over 20 years ago.
That's why when I go back to this city, I miss to taste the one menu among specialties food menu of this city named Soto Semarang Pak No Ungaran from Ungaran City.
Location Soto Semarang Pak No Ungaran stall is easily to be found. It’s located right on the border gate of the city of Semarang and the Ungaran city. If we ride vehicle from Semarang the stall position is the left side after the border gate. Soto Semarang Pak No Ungaran, in fact almost similar to Soto Kudus (Kudus is name of other city in Central Java, Indonesia).
Soto Semarang Pak No Ungaran is presented in a small bowl of rice and gravy mixed, though right now also providing rice separated. One portion of this Soto Semarang dish is quite a bit, that's why I always spend at least two bowls to make me feel full.
Soto Semarang Pak No Ungaran is served in a bowl containing rice, vermicelli, bean sprouts, sliced boiled egg, slice of onion leaf, slice chicken meat and pour a tasty gravy/sauce Soto Semarang.
As a complement, you can add chicken satay, clam satay, quail egg satay, tofu, tempe, and perkedel kentang ‘potato cakes’.
Seasoning sauce/gravy Soto is felt at all. Warm the sauce is fit in tongue.
The heat sensation of gravy soup in our mouth is really delicious and tasteful, so it make us do not want to stop eating it until the bowl is empty. Believe me, one bowl is not enough to taste the delicious Soto Semarang Pak No. Add one more bowl as your wish.
Warung Soto Semarang Pak No is open from 7 AM until 9-10 PM.
Price per serving dish is relatively cheap with ranging from Rp. 7000, - (USD 1) and it’s complementary foods Rp. 2000,-. (USD0.2). It was still an affordable price.
Happy enjoy unique culinary with affordable price.
